Many props to you for delurking. I know how big of a step that was for you (I lurked in my previous fandom for about 2 - 3 years before I started leaving comments and even, omg!, talking to people.)
Bandom peeps are a lovely bunch. Very friendly too. FWIW, many of us have the same anxieties about talking to people we don't know or haven't interacted with, OK?
